OUR APPROACH

At YouthBASE, we believe that a child’s success is best achieved when the caring adults in their life—parents/guardians, teachers, and volunteers—work together. By creating a strong network of support, we address each child’s unique needs, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally at their own pace.

• Targeted Academic Support: Using evidence-based curriculum, we strengthen essential skills in reading, writing, and math while fostering age-appropriate behavioral and social-emotional development.
• Collaborative Partnerships: We bridge the gap between families, schools, and afterschool staff to ensure consistent communication and a seamless learning experience.
• Family Engagement: Our programs, including Café de Madres and Family Nights, provide parents/guardians with valuable resources, support, and a sense of community.
• Enrichment Opportunities: Through partnerships with local organizations, we offer diverse learning experiences in fine arts, STEM, outdoor exploration, and more—expanding each child’s horizons and future possibilities.
• Removing Barriers to Access: YouthBASE is free with the exception of a one-time $25 enrollment fee. We also provide transportation to ensure all children have the opportunity to thrive.
• Year-Round Impact: To maximize growth and learning, we encourage students to participate in both our afterschool and summer programs.
