Educational Intervention Program
Our Approach
Our philosophy is holistic and understands that a child’s chances for success grow exponentially when the caring adults in their lives work together in their best interests. YouthBASE partners with parents/guardians and teachers to build a strong network of support that addresses the specific needs of the child to help them grow and achieve their fullest potential at their own pace:
- YouthBASE uses evidenced-based curriculum and practices to develop academic skills in reading, writing and math and to equip children with age-appropriate behavioral and social-emotional skills.
- YouthBASE initiates effective communication and collaborations between families, schools, teachers and afterschool staff.
- Our Family Engagement Programs offer support and resources to parents through Café de Madres and Family Nights.
- Through Community Partnerships, children are provided a wealth of learning and enrichment opportunities in the fine arts, STEM, outdoors/nature exploration, and more to inspire and open up a world of future possibilities.
- YouthBASE is free and transportation is included for participating students in order to increase accessibility and remove barriers to educational equity.
- All YouthBASE students are encouraged to participate in both our afterschool and summer programs to maximize benefits throughout the year.
