YouthBase is actively seeking volunteers who value children and model kindness. We are currently seeking new volunteers at our Judson location.
How to Volunteer
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and attend an orientation. Background checks are required. Browse the opportunities below or jump to our volunteer application to get started!
Café de Madres
What: Childcare is provided so mothers can attend and fully engage with the Café de Madres program. We try to offer engaging activities for the preschool children including reading, puzzles, games, art activities. Volunteers will play and read with children.
When: Tuesdays, 9 – 11am

Afterschool & Summer Volunteers
What: Volunteers will help with homework, read and play enrichment games with children afterschool.
When: Afterschool and Summer Hours

Board Committees
What: The YouthBASE board has three committees: Admin/Finance, Program and Fundraising/Communications:
Admin/Finance meets to discuss Administrative, financial, budget decisions to present to the board.
Program committee meets to discuss needs and planning for afterschool/summer program, family nights, Café de Madres and staff training/evaluations.
Fundraising committee plans and increases fundraising and communications.
When: TBD, typically committees meet one time a month

Family Night Dinner Sponsor
(perfect for small groups)
What: Prepare, provide, deliver and serve dinner to families at Family Night. This can be a one-time service opportunity or ongoing.
When: 5:30-7pm September-May, one day a month
